DIAMOND AWARD IN “LARGE BUSINESS” CATEGORY

Firm Honored for Business Achievement, Community Involvement and
Workplace Environment

CORAL GABLES, FL, November 16, 2011 – Becker & Poliakoff today announced that it is the recipient of the 2011 Diamond Award presented by the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. The award is presented annually on the basis of business achievement, corporate citizenship, customer service and workplace environment to chamber members or businesses located in the city of Coral Gables.

Becker & Poliakoff, which established its Coral Gables offices in 2004, was designated this year's winner of the Diamond Award in the "Large Business Category." The firm was chosen by a panel of judges that included South Florida Business Journal publisher Melanie Dickenson, Humberto Comellas of technology consulting firm ulltium consulting, Inc., Rosemary Guilfoyle of financial services firm Planning Consultants Group’s and John O’Rourke III of Montica Jewelry.

Becker & Poliakoff is a returning recipient of the Chamber’s highest recognition having been honored as the Diamond Award winner in the Large Business category in 2004. Other Diamond Award winners this year included marketing and creative services firm Logistical Outsourcing, Inc. in the Small Business category, full-service creative agency Threefold Studio in the New Business category and Baptist Health South Florida, the Ideal Workplace Award recipient.

Receiving the award during the 14th Annual Diamond Awards presentation at a luncheon emceed by CBS4’s Shannon Hori were a group of Becker & Poliakoff lawyers led by shareholder Perry Adair, a Coral Gables Chamber Board Member and a prominent civil law attorney who holds Florida Board Certification in Construction Law. Adair is the shareholder in charge of the firm's twenty plus attorneys and lobbyists in Coral Gables.
